Privacy Policy
Effective July 15, 2026. This policy explains what Sludge Safety collects and how it is used.
Information you choose to send
If you email us, we receive your email address and anything you include in the message. We use it to answer you, keep the site safe, and maintain a record of the request. Do not send medical records, account numbers, or other sensitive data.
Basic server records
Our host may log an IP address, browser type, device type, requested page, time, and referring page. These records help deliver the site, stop abuse, and diagnose errors. Sludge Safety does not currently use account registration, comment forms, or its own advertising cookies.
Affiliate links and outside sites
Some guides may later contain affiliate links. A retailer or affiliate network may use cookies or similar tools after you follow one of those links. Their privacy rules apply on their sites. We do not receive your card number or retail account password.
Analytics and consent
If privacy-friendly analytics are added, this policy will be updated before they are enabled. Where consent is required, the site will ask first. We do not sell personal information.
Retention and security
Email is kept only as long as it is useful for the reason it was sent, legal needs, or site safety. No online system is risk-free, but we limit access and use reasonable safeguards.
Your choices
You may ask what personal information you sent us, request a correction, or ask us to delete it when no legal reason requires retention. U.S. state privacy rights vary. We will review a verified request under the law that applies to you.
Children
This site is for a general adult audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. A parent or guardian may contact us about a concern.
Changes and contact
We may revise this policy as the site changes. The effective date above will show the latest material update. Email webmaster@sludgesafety.org with a privacy question or request.
