How You Can Get Active with SSP
Organizing: getting something done together that we can't do alone.
- Have a house meeting or picnic. Invite your neighbors and friends to discuss the issues. We can help with planning and also provide a presentation, a movie, or
other resources you might need.
- Lobby with us in Charleston.Join other West Virginians and learn to lobby your representatives for clean water and sludge safety. Make a difference in the halls of our State Capitol.
- Lobby with us in Washington DC. Join people from across the country and help us pass the Clean Water Protection Act. Go to www.AppVoices.org for more information.
- Meet your representatives. Bring a few of your friends and let your representatives know sludge safety is a West Virginia issue. Educate them and ask them to support our legislation.
Find your representative on the web at
www.legis.state.wv.us
- Get Sludge Safety issues in the newspaper. Call the “Readers Speak” line where you can leave an anonymous voice message. The Charleston papers then select some of the messages, type them up and print them in the paper.
